2006 Awards Banquet and Fundraising Auction

In addition to the YRHA auction there were four items auctioned off to benefit the Katie Holland Fund. Katie was seriously injured in a skid steer accident in February and the proceeds of these items went to help with her medical bills. A huge thank you to Gwen Wagner for arranging these auction items and a huge thank you to the donors. Thanks to Steve Aller for the beautiful oil painting purchased by Brian and Chanelle Zimmer, to the W. T. Waggoner Ranch for the donation of a breeding to the pick of one of their stallions purchased by Elise Donohue and Double D Quarter Horses, to Sue Herst for the donation of a breeding to Like A Diamond purchased by George and Sharlene Stone, to Maryann and Dennis Alquist for the donation of a weekend getaway to their cabin at Wapiti, WY purchased by Arch and Gwen Wagner and to all thefolks who gave cash donations. Gwen Wagner was able to deliver a $4,050 check to the Bank of Bozeman where the fund is held.
This year Nicole Welker and Anne Kent picked out the awards which were purchased from Clint Mortenson, K-J Leather, CR Morrison and The Rusty Spur. Wendy Deans picked out and purchased the Green Rookie buckles from Montana Silversmiths through Corral West Ranchwear in Livingston.

The NRHA Non Pro Champion was Coral Maxwell, owner and rider of Smart Misty Bar. Reserve Champion was Cheryl Ashe, owner and rider of Great Turk N Pine.
The NRHA Intermediate Non Pro Champion was Robyn King riding SR Roosters Kid owned by George and Robyn King. Reserve Champion was Coral Maxwell, owner and rider of Smart Misty Bar.
The NRHA Limited Non Pro Champion was Robyn King riding SR Roosters Kid owned by George and Robyn King. Reserve Champion was RaeAnn Svedberg, owner and rider of Sergeants Enterprise.
The NRHA Novice Horse Non Pro Champion was RaeAnn Svedberg, owner and rider of Sergeants Enterprise. Reserve Champion was Linda Hahn, owner and rider of Tucker Sail.
The YRHA Senior Non Pro Champion was Cheryl Ashe, owner and rider of Great Turk N Pine. Reserve Champion was Jackie Sorenson, owner and rider of SJ Twist N Chex.
The NRHA Open Champion was Jay Dee Anderson riding Hawks Whisper owned by James Gelhaus.
The Reserve Champion was A. Jo Young, owner and rider of Smart Anna Lena.
The NRHA Intermediate Open Champion was A. Jo Young, owner and rider of Smart Anna Lena. The Reserve Champion was Ryan Anderson riding Smart Remichic owned by Polly Cooke.
The NRHA Limited Open Champion was William Fischer riding Taristo owned by Rivers Edge Performance Horses. The Reserve Champion was Nicole Mather, owner and rider of Blairs Flashy Chic.
The NRHA Novice Horse Open Champion was Jay Dee Anderson riding SJ Twist N Chex owned by Jackie Sorenson. Reserve Champion was Jarvis Anderson riding A Freckled Dunit owned by Richard and Sue Coyne.
The NRHA Rookie Professional Champion was Ryan Anderson riding Hollywoods Lena Lady owned by Bill Schutter. The Reserve Champion was Jan Anderson riding Peppy Sailor Chex owned by Jay Dee and Jan Anderson.
The NRHA Rookie Champion was Hollie Koehler, owner and rider of Winners Pep. The Reserve Champion was Collie Vinger, owner and rider of Daisy May Dun It.
The NRHA Prime Time Rookie Champion was Polly Cooke, owner and rider of Smart Remichic. The Reserve Champion was Jan Lukenbill, owner and rider of Mr Lean and Go.

The YRHA Ladies Champion was Stephanie King riding Great Turk N Pine owned Cheryl Ashe. Reserve Champion was Kathy Neuhoff, owner and rider of Levis Cap Gun.
The YRHA Youth 14 - 18 Champion was Sean Alquist, owner and rider of Mighty Mega Jac. Reserve Champion was Hailey Hagan, owner and rider of Extra Pep N Chex.
The YRHA Youth 13 and Under Champion was Alana Smith riding Tamu Wishiwasadunit owned by Jay Smith. Reserve Champion was Savannah Smith riding Forest Cabin Cowboy owned by Jay Smith.
The NRHA Youth 14 - 18 Champion was Nicholette Larson, owner and rider of Hummernic. The Reserve Champion was Meghan Stewart, owner and rider of Okie Dry Doc.
The NRHA Youth 13 and Under Champion was Secora Richardson, owner and rider of Samdaniel Dot. Reserve Champion was Savannah Smith riding Forest Cabin Cowboy owned by Jay Smith.
The NRHA Freestyle Champion was Nicole Mather, owner and rider of Blairs Flashy Chic. The Reserve Champion was Jay Dee Anderson and Koa Ehlers riding Strait N Easy owned by Anita Muri and Janice Mostoller.
We had 14 Green Rookie riders graduate from the class this year to earn their Green Rookie buckle. Thank you to past Green Rookie rider and graduate Elise Donohue for sponsoring the buckles along with the YRHA.
Buckle winners were Shawna Bauder riding Sizzlin Whiz Kid, Shelle Egbert riding Reys Daisy Doc, Dan Gervais riding Ima Docs High Fever, Libby Hendrix riding Lenas Rein Beau, Jan Hendrix riding Blue Ribbon Body, Katie Holland riding MHM Miss Fran Dandy, Lorra Mitzkus riding Ms Zanalena Twist, Chandra Morris riding Sea Breezin' Sailor and Boggies Gun Phire, John Morris riding Smoky Lena Sox, Secora Richardson riding Samdaniel Dot, Amanda Smieja riding Casey Pay Check and Lets Talk Trash, Lori Waters riding Chexy, Amber Watson riding Sailing Smartcommand and Jess Woodring riding Dotties Lil Playgirl.
This years' Broadbent Trophy winner was Cheryl Ashe riding Great Turk N Pine.
An extra special thank you goes to Alice Morrison for the outstanding job she does in putting on this event. Although this is a team effort for sure, she is the Queen of delegating and the Queen of keeping all of us “Ducks” in a row. Thank you to George and Shar Stone for clerking the auction, to C.R.
